Field of Sensibilities is a tour for the senses, offering histories, imaginations, and mythologies throughout the community gardens of the Tempelhofer Feld. This tour is an invitation to cultivate trust in the body’s wisdom and practice gathering information through embodied presence. We are inspired by the diverse collage of flavors and landscapes coexisting in this space. The tour will draw from experiential somatic and deep ecology practices. Expect to be guided through a sensory exploration, transforming all into active shapers of shared time and space. Bring an edible offering of finger food and we will end collaboratively co-creating an improvised meal.

Sara Anjo (PT 1982), was born in Madeira, a portuguese island, close to Africa, and in the "extreme suburbs" of Europe. Her experience of being surrounded by an open horizon and by the ocean, has given her an inner felling of disquiet and the need to seek out other realities. That same experience has develop on her the curiosity about extra & ordinary perception and about in & outdoors work. One of the main focus is her practice is searching for the perceptual body idiosyncrasy trough an “in & out” choreographed practice. To explore that, one of her favorite activities is the practice of the dilettante art of walking.
Sara graduated in the Contemporary Dance Academy (2001) after which she started dancing in the National Company and working with yoga. She has a BA in Performing Arts from the Faculty of Arts of Lisbon (2008) and Contemporary Art (post-graduation) at Lisbon’s Catholic University (2011). In 2010 she meet and studied with Anna Halprin, one of her main inspirations in the dance field. Sara has collaborated with Portuguese choreographers and emergent artists as a performer. Since 2009, she has established work with Dançando com a Diferença Group, an inclusive dance group that works with disability. Sara has devised several collaborative dance/performance projects in Portugal and Germany and published written and drawn work, she is currently co-creating a documentary in West Africa.
