In this tour, the experience of being an alien, or rather, a tourist will serve as a prompt to think differently about local and global peripheries; as a pathway to explore the tangled relationships between personhood, architecture and the dreams that construct them. In Other Dreams the audience will be guided through spaces both historic and sensual, concrete and shimmering, beginning in Rudow’s quaint suburbia and leading toward the final ascent of the Ideal Hochhaus in Gropiusstadt. This tour is an adventure into (mis)communicated Rudow, where personal narratives are explored within their historic contexts.

_authors / guides:
Martin B. Hansen is an Australian-born, Berlin-based artist working in dance, choreography and installation. Martin’s work playfully speculates on how time operates within the theatre mechanism. His choreographic work includes A Queer Kind of Evidence, Monumental, and The Body Doesn’t Lie. Martin was a dance WEB scholar in 2013 and winner of Tanz magazine’s Dancer of the Year award 2012.Website: cargocollective.com/martinbhansen
Kareth Schaffer (1987, USA/NL), is a choreographer and performer. In her pieces she examines the conditions under which art is produced and how women are perceived on the stage. Her choreographic work includes a very short dance piece that takes place mainly in the dark, the possibly 186th solo version of Sacre du Printemps, and a conceptual mudwrestling tournament with a dubious 100,000 views on Youtube. She has worked with and for artists such as deufert&plischke, Tino Sehgal, Christian Falsnaes, Stefanie Wenner, Nestor Garcia Diaz, Kyla Kegler, and Yvon Chabrowski.
