In these tours we will imagine ourselves as a geological force while exploring two human-made topographies. The first tour explores Drachenberg, the second explores Tempelhofer Feld. During the tours we will build an experiential archive of place-memory: share movement exercises, emulating the slow, but not still, movements of mountains, trace the relationship between our bodies and the sun and share a rock toss ritual. Landscapes are made by those who imagine them and we are building tools for imagining together.

_authors / guides:
Stefanie Loveday and Renée Rhodes started collaborating after what they thought would be a brief trip to the library. Three hours later they found themselves in the geology section, only a few feet from where they began, chatting about continental drift, relationships, and ways to record the places where they had been. They work together from living rooms and skype chats, ocean-sides and open fields from their bases in San Francisco and Berlin. In 2012 Stefanie and Renée were in residence at the Hammock Residency in Vancouver, BC, Canada and presented their participatory Rock Station project on board a ferry boat, in backyards and at Art Bank & Access Gallery.
Renée Rhodes makes videos, performances and writings. Recently she has shared work at Headlands Center for the Arts, Performance Studies International Conference #19, and Guesthouse Residency in Ireland. Stefanie Loveday makes photographs and hosts public workshops and has recently shared work at the Museo Leopoldo Rother in Bogotá, Colombia, and at Axis Gallery and SF Camerawork in California, USA.
